Went for lunch in a country pub today and had it at a table near this gorgeous fire. I want to move the fire guard but daren't as the log ws rather large and I didn't want it to fall out while I was doing it!

They are both wonderful photos Dorothy. We had a sky almost like that last night, but slightly misty with it, so not very good for photos. Yours are just perfect. love the fire too.
Thanks everyone. It really was amazing. That picture was right at the end of it, because I couldn't find my camera, but it was one of the best I have seen. On a really good one like that it is always looking at what is happening behind you. This time all the houses facing it on the opposite side of the road were bathed in the most amazing light.
