Baby Cyclamen

Bored Afternoon

Had to take my elderly neighbour to the doctors at short notice this afternoon, so I took these to amuse myself while I waited. Boring aren't they? However, the building itself has some interest in that it used to be the modern lodge to one of the village Great Houses, called Potterells until the Doctors took it over in about 1965. It has recently been extended a great deal.

I looked up the original house today on the Internet and it was really beautiful until a series of mischances led to it's falling into disuse and finally had to be pulled down. Now there are rather posh flats there.

My Embroidery

This is the cottage where I stayed after we were bombed out in 1940. Shows my Grandma Gibbs and Aunts Ethel and Gladys. It was actually one of several cottages which had been made from an old Manor House and has since been restored.

Much too wet to go out anywhere today, But I did find this lying in the garden in a sheltered spot so I scanned it.

Helping out a friend

I went to help a friend who is moving house. We had to shred thousands of legal documents belonging to her Father who was a lawyer! She sorted I shredded. Very dusty job I can tell you!
