Some of us were speaking of red Horse Chestnuts which we used to call Hyacinth Trees as children... I found this nice old one On the Village green near the dentist's today.

I'd forgotten about the pink candles.
I saw a whole street lined with trees like this in flower in Istanbul. Gorgeous!
