If it does I don't know it. It does have a history though... I bought it from a cottage in Flatford (of Flatford Mill fame, I was on a botanical illustration course years ago and it has flowered faithfully ever since. I think it is a cultivar of the common Dog Rose.
Hi Frances, No it soen't have a strong perfume. I will look up Rosa Rugosa and see if it matches at all... I thought they were very spiny and this one isn't.

it looks like my white rosa rugosa does it have a good perfume? your climate is milder as mine is not flowering yet,

Dorothy if there is little or no perfume then it is not rosa rugosa Frances
Hi Frances, I'm sure it is not rugosa because of the leaf and spines as well. I think it is a cultivar of the Dog Rose.
